Hi, Susan.

Welcome. Sure, I'd be happy to share how I record these video segments. Here's the equipment I use:

Camera: Flip Ultra HD on a standard tripod (standing 2-3 feet from me)
Lighting: Bounce umbrella positioned at eye level to my right
Editing Software: Mac's iMovie '09

Hope that helps!

Hi Tom,

I'm new to your monday morning quote -- this idea is great. I have a question for you... can you share how you record the video? the quality is really good. This isn't just a webcam, is it?

Thanks!

The bookshelf thing may become a "Where's Waldo" type feature. Are you going to offer prizes for those who find the hidden image? Thanks for reminding me of Trout and Reis. I've used them as a foundation for a lot of what we still do in our business today. Good stuff.

Great quote. Perceptual hooks on which to hang your branding. Syncs up perfectly with Immutable Law #3: Better to be first in the mind than first in the marketplace. Love the videos, Tom.

Dave, you're welcome!

Michele, thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed the tip. Yes, Ries and Trout were revolutionary. Oh no, now the pressure's on to feature something new and different on the shelf each week! We'll see what I can do ;)

Another great video tip, Tom. Ries and Trout were so far ahead of their time when it comes to tying in human behavior with branding. It's great that they now have some scientific evidence to back it up.

By the way - great feature on the bookshelf behind your head (Happy Anniversary to the Youngs!). I can see how your series could become addictive, just to see what new feature will be on the shelf each week!
